Ever After Press presents

The Anonymous
Story Project

Your story deserves to exist. Even if your name can't be on it yet.

Write the book. Rewrite your life.

There is a story living inside you that you have never been able to say out loud. Not because it isn't true. But because the world is not always safe enough for the truth.

The Anonymous Story Project is a guided, trauma-aware publishing experience for people who are ready to write the story — but aren't ready to attach their name to it.

Your truth will be published. Your identity will be protected. Your healing begins the moment you start writing.

"Some stories cannot be told with a face attached.
Not because they aren't true.
But because the world is not always safe enough for the truth.
This book holds those stories anyway."

This is for the woman whose story
rewrote everything

You left a marriage and rebuilt yourself from nothing
You survived something you still can't say out loud in your real life
You're still navigating custody, conflict, or family court
You walked away from a religion, a career, or an identity
You lost someone and your entire before-and-after shifted
You're a professional who can't risk your name being attached to the truth
You have processed it in therapy but never put it into words
You just know there is a story in you that needs somewhere to live

Everything you need
to write it well

This is not just a submission process. It is a fully supported experience.

01

Nervous system-first onboarding

Before you write a single word, we make sure your body feels safe enough to go there. This is trauma-aware publishing — which means we start with you, not the story.

02

Ongoing coaching support

You are not alone in this process. You have access to a private community and coaching support throughout your entire writing journey — because sometimes things come up when you start telling the truth.

03

Guided writing prompts

Not sure where to start? You'll have access to prompts designed to help you find the story's through-line — the moment of before and after — without feeling overwhelmed.

04

Professional editorial feedback

One full round of editorial feedback on your draft — focused on flow, clarity, and making sure your voice comes through exactly as it should.

05

Light line editing before publication

We refine without erasing. Your story stays yours — we just make sure it reads the way it deserves to.

06

Your story published + a copy of the book

Your words, in print. Under whatever name you choose — or no name at all. Either way, your story gets to exist in the world.

Simple. Supported.
At your pace.

1

Enroll and sign your contributor agreement

You're in. Your anonymity is protected from the moment you join. The agreement covers everything — what we publish, how we protect you, and what you receive in return.

2

We start with your nervous system

Before you write, we check in. This is a body-first process. We make sure you feel grounded, regulated, and ready before we ask you to open the door to the story.

3

You write — with support the whole way through

Use the guided prompts or come with your own story ready. The private community and coaching support are there whenever you need them. There is no rushing this.

4

We edit and refine together

You receive one round of editorial feedback, then light line editing. We work with your voice, not against it.

5

Your story is published

The Anonymous Story Project goes to print. Your copy arrives at your door. Your truth exists in the world — safely, exactly as you chose to tell it.

Stepmom Chronicles

Nobody warned you. Not about the holidays, the silence at dinner, or what it costs to love kids who might not love you back. Stepmom Chronicles is a dedicated collection within ASP — for the stories that live underneath the role. The real ones. Told anonymously. Published.

The anger and the love — both true at once
The giving up and the starting over
The dark humor no one else would understand
The 2am crying and the showing up anyway
Any point in the journey — brand new or years deep
The story you couldn't say out loud. Until now.

Your name stays out of it. Your story doesn't.

You might be wondering

Yes — and that protection starts the moment you enroll, not just when the book publishes. Your story will appear under a pseudonym or simply as "Anonymous," entirely your choice. We will never share your real name, contact information, or any identifying details with anyone. One important note: anonymity is an editorial protection, not a legal one. If your story includes identifiable details about real people, we'll work with you during editing to make sure those details are handled carefully so the story remains protected for everyone involved.

Then you're in exactly the right place. This project was not built for polished writers — it was built for people with something true to say. Your job is to tell the story. Our job is to make sure it reads the way it deserves to. Between the guided prompts, the editorial feedback, and the line editing, you will have full support from the first word to the final page. You don't need to know how to write. You just need to be willing to begin.

We work at a pace that respects your nervous system — which means we don't rush. Once you're enrolled, you'll receive a guided timeline with clear check-in points so you always know where you are in the process. Stories are between 1,000 and 2,500 words, which is more manageable than it sounds. And if something comes up along the way — life, emotions, needing more time — the coaching support is there for exactly that.

You can write about real experiences — that's exactly what this project is for. When it comes to the people in those experiences, we ask that you focus on your story rather than theirs. Changing identifying details — names, locations, specific events — protects both you and them, and keeps the story's power exactly where it belongs: on what you lived through and who you became. During the editorial process, we'll help you navigate any moments where real details might need to be shifted.

Once your draft is submitted, you'll receive one full round of editorial feedback — specific, thoughtful notes focused on flow, clarity, and voice. You'll have the opportunity to revise before we move into light line editing. After that, your story goes into the collection for final layout and design. You'll be notified when the book goes to print, and your copy will be mailed directly to you. You are never just handed off and forgotten.

"The moment your life split into before and after — and who you became on the other side."

That's the story we want. That's the story that deserves to exist. That's the story this book was built to hold.

I'm ready to write my story
