Ever After Press presents
The Anonymous
Story Project
A trauma-informed writing and publishing experience for the story you've never been able to say out loud.
Write the book. Rewrite your life.
There is a story living inside you that you have never been able to say out loud. Not because it isn't true. But because the world is not always safe enough for the truth.
The Anonymous Story Project is not a submission process. It is a fully supported, trauma-informed writing and publishing experience — where I walk with you from your very first word to a finished, published chapter. With your nervous system protected the entire way.
Your truth will be published. Your identity will be protected. And you will not do any of this alone.
"Some stories cannot be told with a face attached.
Not because they aren't true.
But because the world is not always safe enough for the truth.
This book holds those stories anyway."
Is this for you?
This is for the woman whose story
rewrote everything
What this actually is
This is not a submission.
This is a container.
Most publishing asks you to show up with a finished, polished story. The Anonymous Story Project asks you to show up as you are — and walks with you through the rest.
It is
A coached writing experience
You work directly with Dr. Court through the writing process. You are not handed a prompt and left alone. You are supported, held, and guided from first word to final draft.
It is
A trauma-informed process
Before you write a single word, we make sure your nervous system feels safe enough to go there. This is body-first publishing. We regulate before we write.
It is
A real publishing outcome
Your story is professionally edited and published in a curated collection. You receive a copy of the finished book. Your words exist in the world permanently.
It is not
A submission fee
You are not paying for the privilege of being considered. You are investing in a supported experience that ends in publication. Every person who enrolls is published.
A note from Dr. Court
I built this project because I know what it costs to carry a story your body hasn't finished processing. I know what it feels like to sit down to write and have everything shut down — not because you don't want to tell it, but because your nervous system doesn't feel safe enough yet.
The Anonymous Story Project is the container I wish had existed for me. Coached. Supported. Trauma-informed from the first session to the last page. And anonymous enough that the truth finally has somewhere real to go.
What's included
Everything you need
to write it well
Every piece of this is designed to get you to the page safely and keep you there.
Nervous system-first onboarding
Before you write a single word, we make sure your body feels safe enough to go there. We start with you — your history, your triggers, your capacity — so that when we open the door to the story, you're ready to walk through it without shutting down.
1:1 coaching calls with Dr. Court
You work directly with me throughout this process. Not a template, not a portal, not an AI tool. Me. We meet live, we check in between sessions, and I am with you every time something comes up — because something always comes up when you start telling the truth.
Guided writing prompts
Designed specifically for your collection and your story. These prompts are built to help you find the through-line — the moment of before and after — without overwhelm or shutdown. You don't have to know where to start. That's my job.
Professional editorial feedback
One full round of editorial feedback on your draft — specific, thoughtful, and focused on your voice. We look at flow, clarity, and making sure the story lands the way it deserves to. Your voice stays yours. We shape it, we don't replace it.
Light line editing before publication
We refine without erasing. The goal is to make your story read exactly the way it sounds when you tell it out loud — clean, true, and entirely you.
Your story published + a copy of the book
Your words, in print. Under whatever name you choose — a pseudonym, your first name only, or simply Anonymous. Either way, your story gets to exist in the world. Permanently. And a copy of the finished book arrives at your door.
How it works
Simple. Supported.
At your pace.
Book your discovery call
We start with a conversation. You tell me a little about your story and where you are. I tell you which collection fits and what the process looks like for you specifically. No pressure, no pitch. Just a real conversation about whether this is the right next step.
Enroll and sign your contributor agreement
Once you're in, your anonymity is protected from day one. The agreement covers everything — what we publish, how we protect you, what you receive, and what rights you keep. Your story belongs to you. Always.
We start with your nervous system
Before we write, we regulate. Our first session together is not about the story — it's about you. We make sure you feel grounded, safe, and supported before we ask you to open the door to the hardest thing you've ever lived through.
You write — with me the whole way through
Using the guided prompts or your own instincts, you write your story. I am with you through every session. When things come up — and they will — you are not navigating them alone. That's the whole point.
We edit and refine together
You receive one round of editorial feedback, then light line editing. We work with your voice, not against it. Nothing changes without your agreement.
Your story is published
The collection goes to print. Your copy arrives at your door. Your truth exists in the world — safely, permanently, exactly as you chose to tell it.
A collection within the Anonymous Story Project
Divorce Chronicles
Everyone has an opinion about your divorce. Your lawyer. Your mother. Your ex. But no one has asked what it was actually like — the grief you weren't supposed to feel, the relief you were ashamed of, the version of yourself you had to bury just to survive it. Divorce Chronicles is a dedicated collection within ASP — for the story underneath the paperwork. The real one. Told anonymously. Published.
Your name stays out of it. Your story doesn't.

Stepmom Chronicles
Nobody warned you. Not about the holidays, the silence at dinner, or what it costs to love kids who might not love you back. Stepmom Chronicles is a dedicated collection within ASP — for the stories that live underneath the role. The real ones. Told anonymously. Published.
Your name stays out of it. Your story doesn't.

Ever After Chronicles
You don't have to tell the whole story. You just have to claim the ending. Ever After Chronicles is a dedicated collection within ASP — not for what happened, but for who you became on the other side of it. Your arrival. Your reclamation. Published.
Anonymous or named — your ending, your choice.
Your protection
Your anonymity matters.
Here is exactly what that means — and what it doesn't.
Your name is never attached
Your story will be published under a pseudonym, your first name only, or simply as "Anonymous" — entirely your choice. You decide at enrollment and can change your mind at any time before publication.
Your identity is never shared
Ever After Press will never share your real name, contact information, or any identifying details with any third party. Your personal information is used only to manage your participation in the project.
Identifying details are handled carefully
Names of people, places, and specific events in your story may be altered during the editorial process to protect your privacy and the privacy of anyone you write about. Nothing changes without your agreement.
You are legally protected by your contributor agreement
Every participant signs a contributor agreement before their story is published. This agreement sets out exactly how your anonymity is protected, what rights you retain, and what Ever After Press is legally obligated to uphold.
The honest disclaimer
Anonymity in this project is an editorial protection, not a legal one. We do everything within our editorial power to ensure your story cannot be traced back to you. We alter identifying details, protect your information, and publish without your real name.
What we cannot do is guarantee that someone who knows you personally could never recognize your story from the details within it. This is why we work with you during editing to make sure anything identifiable is carefully handled before your story goes to print.
If you have specific concerns about privacy — particularly if your story involves ongoing legal matters, custody situations, or public figures — we encourage you to raise these during your discovery call.

Questions
You might be wondering
Yes — and that protection starts the moment you enroll, not just when the book publishes. Your story will appear under a pseudonym or simply as "Anonymous," entirely your choice. We will never share your real name, contact information, or any identifying details with anyone. One important note: anonymity is an editorial protection, not a legal one. If your story includes identifiable details about real people, we'll work with you during editing to make sure those details are handled carefully before your story goes to print.
Then you're in exactly the right place. This project was not built for polished writers — it was built for people with something true to say. Your job is to tell the story. My job is to make sure it reads the way it deserves to. Between the guided prompts, the 1:1 coaching, the editorial feedback, and the line editing, you will have full support from your first word to the final page. You don't need to know how to write. You just need to be willing to begin.
We work at a pace that respects your nervous system — which means we don't rush. Stories are between 1,000 and 2,500 words, which is more manageable than it sounds. Once you're enrolled, you'll receive a guided timeline with clear check-in points so you always know where you are in the process. And if something comes up along the way — life, emotions, needing more time — the coaching support is there for exactly that.
You can write about real experiences — that's exactly what this project is for. When it comes to the people in those experiences, we ask that you focus on your story rather than theirs. Changing identifying details — names, locations, specific events — protects both you and them, and keeps the story's power exactly where it belongs: on what you lived through and who you became. During the editorial process, we'll help you navigate any moments where real details might need to be shifted.
If you're a stepmom with stories from inside the role — Stepmom Chronicles. If your story lives in the experience of divorce, separation, or what came after — Divorce Chronicles. If you've arrived somewhere worth naming and want to claim it — Ever After Chronicles. And if your story doesn't fit neatly into one of those containers, the broader Anonymous Story Project holds it. Not sure? That's exactly what the discovery call is for.
Yes. If the full investment isn't accessible right now, bring it up on your discovery call and we'll figure out what works. The goal is to remove barriers between you and getting your story out — not to create new ones.
Your copy arrives at your door and your story exists in the world permanently. Some women find that having one story published opens something up — a realization that there's more they want to say. If that happens for you, Ever After Press offers Heartbreak to Hardcover, a full 6 to 9 month trauma-informed publishing container for women who are ready to write the whole book. There's no pressure, no upsell. But the door is always open.
"The moment your life split into before and after — and who you became on the other side."
That's the story we want. That's the story that deserves to exist. That's the story this book was built to hold. And you don't have to write it alone.
— Courtney, Ever After Press
